Course Objectives To develop an understading on issues about family businesses in Turkey throughout their development from entrepreneurial ventures to cross-generational family firms.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To understand the various aspects of family firms and their contribution to the Turkish and Global economy.
  • To develop an understanding about the distinctive strengths of family firms and the unique challenges they face
  • To Identify the stakeholders of family firms and evaluate their relationships to the performance of the business
  • To analyze the implications of the critical issues that family firms face.
  • To enhance the student's ability to identify strategic issues, to have a broader understanding on current theories, to creatively develop models when applicable to real life cases
