This course aims to set the fundamental basis for the future accounting and finance courses by covering the bookkeeping process and the reporting of the basic financial statements as the balance sheet, income statement, the statement of cash flows, and the statement of stockholder’s equity.
The course contains current business challenges and managerial approaches related with the four functions of management: planning, organizing leading, and controlling. As such, the course involves such topics as challenges of global business, change, innovation, business ethics, decision-making, organizational design, communication, leadership, and organizational control. Additionally, the course includes a discussion of managerial ideas proposed to resolve current business problems.
This lecture consists of the subtitles of the evolution of Marketing, Marketing environment, consumer behavior, target market definition, segmentation, positioning and marketing mix strategies. Fundamental theoretical notions and special issues regarding management in emerging markets will be discussed during classes and the gained knowledge in the course will be applied on a case study in the end of the semester.

This course is designed to be interactive and students are expected to share any experience they have selling abroad. Guest speakers will also be asked to share their expertise with the class. Case studies and recent business articles will be used extensively. There will be no textbook.
